Here Comes the Holiday....Pounds

Are you one of those people who gain weight during the holidays? How can one resist all those good food like Roast Prime Rib, eggnog, Honey Baked Ham, etc? It is very hard especially if you are the one who's making all those delicious grub. I might have to find a good appetite suppressant so I will not blow up into a huge balloon! I guess one burns it all too when you spend hours prepping, cooking and washing all those dishes!

Is It the Right Time to Start a Business?

Still Expensive Car Insurance Premiums

My state has probably one of the most expensive car insurance premiums in the country. Only lately has the market been opened to big companies like Geico and Progressive but even then, we still pay a lot compared to other states. I live in a very safe neighborhood where crime is almost negligible but still, we pay a lot for our car insurance. Thanks to the internet, it's easier to get auto insurance quote from different companies. Right now, we're sticking with MetLife where we have both our car and home insurance. I just hope it doesn't go up next year or else we'll be forced to shop around for a new one.

Black Friday Shopper

I used to be one, many years ago. Not anymore though. I shopped the day after Thanksgiving when I was still single. I guess it's because all my time is for myself and I don't have any other person to think about. Nowadays, mommy duties comes first. I guess going to the mall with hundreds of people doesn't appeal to me anymore. I also don't like standing in line waiting to be rung up using those barcode scanners. We have it easy these days considering many years ago, cashiers need to punch in the price of your merchandise. Technology, you've got to love it!

Another Game System

Okay, how many game systems does a household need? We already have two, not counting the handheld ones, of which we have three. The kids got the Nintendo Wii two years ago and the Nintendo Game Cube the year before that. Do we need the Playstation or the xbox 360 ? I don't want to get another game system, what we have is enough. We'll just have to get them the games which, mind you, already costs $$.

Meeting Old Flames

Have you ever had this happen to you? I met an old flame last month when I went back to the Philippines. We connected in Facebook and he learned that I will be in Manila. He wanted to pay his last respects to my dad. We didn't date for a long time before, I know it was less than a year. We were in our early twenties and I felt that he still doesn't have any idea on what to do with his life. We parted as friends and that helped make it easy to reconnect after all these years. Aside from some white hairs and a few pounds (that can be easily gotten rid of by using fat burners) he still looks the same. He still has this quirky sense of humour and of course, beautiful eyes. It was nice to see him again and get updated with our lives now. He's the only ex-boyfriend I've seen. I don't know if it will be like this with the others (yes, there is more than two LOL) but I know it's not going to be as easy as this one.
