Redecorating the Home - HOW??

Who doesn't want to redecorate their home? I sure do! It would be nice to have the services of an interior decorator to help me in decorating my house. I wonder if there are any out there who doesn't charge an arm and a leg to give out decorating advice and ideas. I've heard fo hiring interior decorators over the internet - I think it will work if you find one that understands what you want to accomplish. I want a decorator who will work with me and not just his or her ideas, this is my house afterall. I'd like to incorporate the modern sofas we bought last year. But first, I have to start with the walls. I already have a color in mind, I just need to push dh to do it. Does anyone out there know of a website that I can use to find a good interior decorator?

Party or Save Money??

Do you have to choose between saving money and going to a party? I just received a baby shower invitation for the step-daughter of a friend. It would be nice to go but of course, you do not go empty-handed. I have to buy a gift for the mom-to-be and/or the baby. It's not that I know everyone who will be invited, just a handful of people, really. I'm still on the fence with this one. I know that in a couple of months, I will be receiving baby girl announcements, would that mean another gift to welcome the baby? It's nice to go to these parties and socialize with friends but sometimes it just becomes too much and you end up broke!

It Feels Like Spring At Last...

And I tjhought it still so far away! Or am I mistaken? I hope not... It was a perfect Spring-like weather today. There was a little chill in the air and it reminded me of Spring. Could it be? I really hope so! Even though we have not gone on a ski vacation, I wouldn't mind if winter is finally over. Living in this part of the country, we are used to having tons of snow but this year, it seems we have a little too much!

Fun Winter Break

Two weeks ago, we went to Disney World for the kids' Winter Break. We spent a week at the Disney Wilderness Lodge. It is a beautiful hotel! Very expensive too but well worth the price, in my opinion. We were given a room fronting the falls and the pool, what a view! We can also see the lagoon from the balcony. With the Disney package, we had 5 tickets that can be used for all the parks. You can imagine how much fun the kids had - well, the parents had fun too, of course. My daughter is at that age wherein she's not a little girl anymore but not yet a teenager. I know that she enjoyed it but at the same time, there were instances that her little brother embarassed her! She's getting a couple of pimples, I might need to get her the best acne treatment if ever it gets to a point where she's getting a lot of it! I know that next year, she's going to feel that she's too old for Disney stuff!!! I hope she doesnt' grow up too fast though....
